POINT REYES

BULL POINT TRAIL

Home

Trail Description: Bull Trail is a short 1.6 mile trail out to the shore through coastal grasses and meadowlands. The trail crosses one small creek which is home to quite a variety of plants if one takes the time to look. Small clusters of cows will keep you company as the trail meanders within sight of "Creamery Bay" and finally ends at Drakes Estero. If you have the gumption to ford a muddy stream bed, the coast is accessible. We didn't, and enjoyed our lunch from a nearby hillside. This doesn't rate high compared to many other Pt. Reyes trails from a scenic point of view, but is none-the-less pleasant if you're looking for a change or are only concerned with wildflowers.

Trail Location:
From Highway 1, go west on Sir Frances Drake about 11 mile to the "Bull Point Trail" sign. Parking is on the left and it free. A sign describes the area and trail.
