Trail Description: Most of the upper hillside trail is among oak woodlands with enticing glimpses of the marsh from various spots. Few flowers were evident. Birds were abundant however and the weather was with us on this pleasant hike.

Trail Location:
The trail entrance is through a locked (for cars) gate at the end of Bugeia Av. Get there early or on a weekday, as parking is limited.

Coyote Bush (Baccharis pilularis)
Gum Plant(Grindelia stricta)
Madrone (Arbutus menziesii)–Berry only
Toyon (Heteromeles arbutifolia)–Berry only

California Polypody (Polypodium californicum)
Goldback Fern (Pentagramma triangularis)
Maidenhair Fern (Adiantum jordanii)
Sword Fern (Polystichum munitum)
