Trail Description:
Johnstone trail goes from the southern boundary parking lot near Shell
beach up to Pierce Point Road, and then down again to Heart's Desire Beach.
The almost 5 mile one way trail head starts at sea level and over the next
two miles gains 600 feet through dense groves of Bishop Pine. At the Jepson
Trail intersection, the trail begins it's decent to Pebble Beach and ends a
half mile further at Heart's Desire.
Trail Location:
Take Sir Frances Drake to Camino Del Mar
( a quarter mile after the road heads inland from Tomales Bay). The
trailhead is at the parking lot at the end.
