RIM ROCK TRAIL

Trail Description:
The Rim Rock trail starts about half way to Lake Marie, climbs up to the 1630' Sugarloaf Peak, and loops back down via the Chaparral or Skyline trail. Unfortunately, we only made it half way so can't review the summit area.  For as far as we got, some spring flowers were starting to bloom, the vistas were wonderful and the volcanic geology was interesting. It was a clear cool day and hiking was enjoyable.
