Trail Description: Trail 22 takes off Northward (right) out of the parking lot through oaks and grasslands and hugs the boundary for a quarter mile until you come to interesting rock cliffs on the left. Here you will find specimens of Vinegar Weed. From here trail 20 climbs steeply up past the electrical tower and enters the Upper Lake meadow area alongside the interesting rock formations of trail 19. We found the lake surrounded by mud and only about a fourth of it's usual volume.  While we could identify a lot of dried plants, there were few flowers in bloom, but the hike and scenery were still well worth the hike.

Trail Location: From the parking lots gate, bear right and follow the trail markings.
