Trail/Park Description:
This 702 acre ranch on Christie Road, half way between Hercules and Pacheco, was acquired by the Muir Heritage Land Trust in 2005 and opened to the public in 2010. Our first exploration was in March of 2011 and except for some muddy stretches, found it to be a pleasant oak and grassland park worth taking our group to. The four trails, Phoebe, Whipsnake, Woodrat and Windmill make for a nice four plus mile hike taking from one to four hours depending on how many flowers you stop to inspect. Plus, two benches half way around make for pleasant lunch stops.
