Trail Description: Limantour trail is a wonderful coastal trail that goes beside marshes, over dunes, and along the shore. And the scenery takes in hills, birds, wildflowers, and the ocean. It's a popular trail, but the miles of wide open space it's easy to find solitude a few hundred feet in any direction.

Trail Location:
From Olema on Hwy 1, take Bear Valley Rd. to Limantour. Parking is about 9 miles further at the end of the road on the right.
There are toilets, and the trail starts due south, just before the dunes. It's only about 2.5 miles to the end of the spit, but walking on sand can be taxing.
