Trail Description:
This mile long trail meanders slowly through lush pine forests from
the road to Hearts Desire Beach with an elevation drop of about
500'. This is one of the most dense forest trails we have taken so far. Keep
an eye open and you will likely see nesting falcons. The hike in should take
an hour or two and there are picnic tables at both Hearts Desire and Indian
Beach...so bring a lunch and enjoy the view.
Trail Location:
From Sir Frances Drake going east,
bear right onto Pierce Road and the trailhead is on the right a mile up .
Watch for a good size turnout. A mossy sign indicates the trailhead.
