Hike/Park Description:
Lassen National Park located in north Central California is home to the southernmost volcanoes in the Cascade range, and shaped by the same forces that made Mt. Hood, Mt St. Helens, Mt. Shasta etc. It's a short 3-4 hour trip from the Bay Area and has many unsurpassed hikes from fumaroles to volcano peaks to riparian meadows.
