Hike/Park Description:
Cullinan Ranch Trail Includes over 1500 acres located on the northern shores of San Pablo Bay just west of Vallejo. It began as a ranch for farming with the USFWS acquiring the land in 1991 with the aim to restore the area to it's natural state by breaching levees to allow re-sedimentation. Interesting and more detailed information can be found here:

Cullinan Ranch Trail goes from the parking lot to South Slough about 1.3 miles due north. There you can hike a little further east and west for perhaps 3 miles total round trip. It offers interesting views of the restored marsh to the east, Pond No. 1 to the west all with abundant birds at the right time of year. Plus there is an old hunting club on South Slough which we understand will be accessible in the near future. The trail-head is about 3.5 miles west of the Napa River Bridge on Hwy 37.
