One of our members noticed a newly opened park and decided to explore. After a favorable report, we all geared up the following week and took our first hike here. The initial adventure was finding the parking lot. But we kept going the only way we could, even though it felt more like off roading. Once at the parking lot, the trailhead is fairly well marked. After crossing the bridge, the trail begins to climb, but at a leisurely incline for two miles towards the Bennett Valley overlook. From where you get some excellent views... of I assume the Bennett Valley.
