LAGOON - COAST

Trail Description: It was on the spur of the moment that we decided to take Lagoon, a new trail (for most of us). Seeing as it was somewhat steep, we decided to take it from the top down, and come back via the Coastal Trail, a more moderate climb back up. This wound up to be a
delightful hike which included grassy meadows, then some wooded sections, and lastly the coast (which by that time was clear and pleasant). To our surprise, quite a few flowers were still blooming in contrast to the inland sections at this time of year. After a leisurely lunch we strolled the beach to the
lagoon, where we headed back through the thickly wooded riparian area of the Coastal Trail. The only glitch to this otherwise perfect hike was that the last part of the trail was un-shaded and uphill. Now if they could put in a little lemonade stand with tables in the shade about half way up...
