Trail Description:
Guglielmo Marconi commissioned this site in 1913 for a powerful ship to shore radio station. In 1929 a new Art-Deco station replaced it. There are still relics of the old antenna 'farm' around the periphery.  More here. On this day it was cool and clear as we headed north towards Abbots Cove across a mile of dense grasses dotted with Cat ears and other flowers.  After a good lunch on a soft knoll overlooking the lagoon, we leisurely headed back.  They say 'All who wander are not lost'. But that didn't apply to some of us on this hike. Fortunately the grass wasn't any higher.
