BOTHE-NAPA
STATE PARK
Home
Park Description: This is a wonderful
park between Calistoga and St. Helena with trails that range from Grasslands to Redwoods and everything in
between. With over 10 miles of trail, you can usually find one to your
liking. In summer the dense stream beds provide cooling shade, and in winter
you can hike the open savannas and enjoy the sun. A nice Oak and Madrone wooded trail leads
south to the
interesting restored Bale Grist Mill that is fun for the entire family and easily
worth an hours visit or for a picnic. Only open weekends however.
Directions: From St. Helena go north
on 29. The park is
about 5 miles on the left. Watch for signs. The trailhead parking areas are
straight ahead.
